Lopez, Alma

I am a visual artist and the instructor for this course. I am really excited to be able to teach this course again because it combines by interests and my identities: queer, art and Los Angeles. The first and last time this course was offered was the Fall 2012. The project for that quarter was a collaborative website project. The students were not required to have any website building knowledge. I basically lead them through a series of exercises at the YRL digital lab whereby they learned basic Photoshop as well as Dreamweaver in order to construct their individual pages focusing. You can access the project website via the link above.

For your first post, please title it as follows: YourLastName, YourFirstName. Write a 200 - 300 introducing yourself (major, year, interests in course) as well as an LGBT person or event which you feel is important. Please include a photo of yourself. Weekly posts are due on or before noon Thursdays.

Before publishing, please click on "Labels" and type your LastNameFirstName (no space, no commas). Click Done. Then click Publish. Always remember to label in order to receive credit for your posts.
